Craniosacral Therapy: Gentle and Profound

The cranium is the medical term for the skull; the sacrum refers to the lowest segment of the spine. Craniosacral therapy, developed by Dr. William Garner Sutherland as an extension of osteopathy, treats the central nervous system and the entire organism through the finest manual techniques.
What makes it unique: the body has its own craniosacral rhythm – a subtle movement of the cerebrospinal fluid that travels through the entire body. Disruptions in this rhythm can manifest as pain, tension or functional complaints.
The treatment is extraordinarily gentle. With a pressure of less than five grams – barely more than the weight of a coin – I sense tensions and blockages and release them carefully.
Typical areas of application:
• Chronic headaches and migraines • Tinnitus and vertigo • Jaw joint pain (CMD) • Consequences of whiplash and accidents • Stress-related exhaustion and burnout • Nerve pain and numbness
Many patients experience a deep relaxation and noticeable relief after just a few sessions – as if the body can finally breathe again.
